A Moment in quiet:
Konfabulator is a great development tool. I can quickly generate widgets that have quite a bit of functionality using a language and toolkit that I'm comfortable with: Javascript and XML. But the licensing is awful. As a developer I have no way to allow my users to use my widgets free of charge. The Konfabulator engine costs money, same cost for developer versus end user. I've created something far more useful than the tool itself is for the end user, but the end user is forced to pay for the same development tools as I am. I think Konfabulator as an application platform should be free and licenses for development should cost money. That way I can control my code. Currently there doesn't appear to be a way to do this. But the Konfabulator engine is small, and could be included in developed widgets. That's just my two cents. What does this mean to YOU, the end user. Well 1. I don't expect you to pay for Konfabulator in order to use my widget. Currently there's no legal way for me to reach a compromise. so 2. Let's work together to find a way around Konfabulator's fee. And no, sending me a serial number isn't going to help. I want a legitamate solution that I can post on this website. |

An RSS feed viewer, Konfabulator widget, that can intelligently hide news items, and itself, when you've already read that item.
Undercover News can be set to download one or more RSS feeds, the default feed is macosrumors.com.
Another Konfabulator Widget. This one will upload your current iChat status and message to your website. Complete with cool icons for your website to include to tell surfers whether you're online or not.
This is a perl script to rip your .mac website off of .mac for use on your own website, or for local usage. I've long since not needed this so it's no longer updated and may no longer work.

Features:
- Will pad top and bottom with horizontal bars to fit into 640x480 aspect without cropping/stretching.
- Uses ffmpeg (no modifications) so can be updated, easily, to support new codecs as ffmpeg releases new versions. Simply replace the ffmpeg in the Resources directory.

- Requires a hacked Series 1 TiVo with mfs_ftp (or similar) installed to upload video to TiVo.

- No way to cancel (have to quit app then force quit ffmpeg)
